New etchings
New etching produced over the past month. I started with the aquatint first, using crayons as the acid resist, then used a sugar lift technique with water based pencils to put the line work down. I’m hoping to produce some more prints in the way in the future.
Back in the Studio
After a winter break learning German in Dusseldorf I’m back in the studio.
I’m not planning much consistency within my themes this year, so expect to see various printmaking methods.
First off are some prints from some wood that was in the scrap wood section in the studio. My relief prints have always been with linoleum or mdf, so it’s been interesting to use a block that has a grain.

20:20 Print exchange
I recently participated in the 20:20 print exchange run by Hot Bed Press. Artists were asked to create a print edition 20x20cm. In return you received a random portfolio of 20 prints from all the submissions.

New additions to 2009 portfolio
With the use of a good scanner I’ve added some of the test prints for the current set I’ve been working on the past year. You can see where the colours came from and ideas for building up colours from transparencies came from.

Three new prints have been added to my 2010 Portfolio.
Latest edition has been finished!
Finished the newest edition of prints yesterday, but they’re still drying on the racks so pictures won’t be up for another week! But here’s a nice picture of the final colours going on.
More work in progress
Some more prints in progress. I’ll be doing an edition of some of these, each print will be around 21 x 26 cm.

Update & preview
I’ve finally got round to updating the site. I’ve added added a past prints from my time at university section in my portfolio, you can check them out here.
